If you have ever been a fan of music, you would know “Smells Lile Teen Spirit” by Nirvana.
So this guy, a street musician, played at the center of the street and guess which song he covered?
Smells Like Teen Spirit! The infamous Nirvana classic.
This is entirely an instrumental cover so there are no vocals or any other instruments involved. It’s just pure guitars. Or guitar. As he is playing with just one in his hand.
As you watch the video, you will realize that this guy knows exactly what he is doing and playing. He plays every sound in the cover with utmost precision. That’s something I looked at and adored right away.
In the middle, you might even catch yourself humming, “Hello, hello, hello, how low”.
A Unique Style-Cover
Interestingly, the musician has covered the entire song so you get to experience one of the finest street musicians covering the whole song for you: What’s a better treat than this?
The riffs, the sounds, the strings, all of them are so coherent that I couldn’t help but watch this video many times. This was one classic by Nirvana I have always loved.
Nirvana was an all-time favorite band of the 90s. They rose to popularity in the 90s, after they were formed in 1987. From there on, they released many songs that rose to top fame. Amongst these was Smells Like Teen Spirit.
The band was led by frontman Kurt Cobain. Cobain had it all; looks, sound, talent… However, Kurt killed himself with a gun in 1994 and this led to the dismay of many. That was the end of Nirvana as we saw it. Hence, Nirvana also gets a soft corner for their frontman committed suicide.
There is, however, no comparison of the song with any other. If you have been a fan of the band or just like good music, this video is a must watch:
