The band was founded in 2015 by trumpeter Thomas Burhorn after he watched a DJ perform in a berlin club and wondered what it would be like to play techno or deep house with Marching band instruments.
Their breakthrough came in the spring of 2016, when video of their performance for the song “Rej von Âme” became a viral hit on social media with over 650,000 views in one week. This created an excellent base for their international musical success & In just one year, Meute became one of the most booked festival bands, consistently drawing audiences to Europe‘s electronic ecstasy stages.

In May 2018, video of their new version of Disclosure and Eliza Doolittle’s track “You & Me” went viral amassing millions of views in a very short time. A successful release of their debut album TUMULT in 2018, followed by a sold out tour with more than 20 shows in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, ensures they continue to spread their love for hand-made electronic music all over Europe as one of the continent’s most booked festival bands.
